Overview

Mera Peak is the highest trekking peak in Nepal, located in the remote Hinku Valley of the Makalu Barun National Park. Despite its height, it is considered less technically difficult than Island Peak, making it suitable for climbers with limited technical skills but good physical fitness. The trek to Mera Peak passes through rhododendron forests, remote settlements, and unspoiled landscapes before reaching the glacier and summit. The panoramic summit view includes Everest, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu.
