Gear List

    • For a 16-day Everest Base Camp trek, you’ll need layered clothing for varying temperatures, including moisture-wicking thermal tops and bottoms, insulating fleece or down jackets, a waterproof/windproof shell, quick-dry trekking shirts and pants, warm hats, gloves, and neck gaiters. Footwear should include sturdy waterproof trekking boots, camp shoes, trekking socks, and warm thermal socks. Essential trekking gear includes a 35–50L daypack, duffel bag, trekking poles, a -15°C rated sleeping bag, and a liner. Personal items such as UV-protection sunglasses, high-SPF sunscreen, lip balm, a small first aid kit, toiletries, quick-dry towel, water bottles or hydration bladder, and water purification tablets are vital. Bring a headlamp with spare batteries, a power bank, travel adapter, camera, snacks, and electrolytes. Optional extras like gaiters, knee supports, a notebook, or a padlock can be useful. Layering is key, as temperatures at Kala Patthar (5,545m) can drop to -15°C, and a warm sleeping bag is recommended even in tea houses.
