Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m) – Welcome to Nepal

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our Peaceful Treks representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Kathmandu. After check-in, you can relax and recover from your journey. In the evening, we host a welcome dinner featuring authentic Nepali cuisine along with a short briefing about your upcoming Pisang Peak climbing adventure. This is a great opportunity to meet your guides and fellow climbers.

Kathmandu Sightseeing & Climbing Preparation

Today is dedicated to exploring the cultural richness of Kathmandu Valley. You will visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites including sacred temples, ancient palaces, and Buddhist stupas. Meanwhile, your climbing permits and logistics will be finalized. In the afternoon, there will be a detailed pre-climb briefing and gear check to ensure you are fully prepared for the expedition.

Drive to Besisahar (760m) – Gateway to Annapurna

After breakfast, we begin a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar, the starting point of the Annapurna region trek. The journey offers views of terraced fields, rivers, and rural villages. This transition from city to countryside sets the tone for your Himalayan adventure.

Drive to Chame (2,670m)

We continue our journey deeper into the Annapurna region via an off-road drive to Chame, the administrative center of Manang district. The route follows the Marsyangdi River, passing through waterfalls, pine forests, and dramatic mountain landscapes. You’ll begin to feel the change in altitude.

Trek to Upper Pisang (3,300m)

Today marks the beginning of your trekking journey. The trail passes through dense pine forests and narrow valleys, gradually opening to spectacular views of Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal. Crossing suspension bridges and walking alongside the river, you’ll reach Upper Pisang—a traditional village with Tibetan-influenced culture.

Acclimatization Day in Pisang

Trek to Pisang Peak Base Camp (4,380m)

Leaving the main Annapurna Circuit trail, we head towards Pisang Peak Base Camp. The trail becomes steeper and more rugged, moving through alpine terrain. As we gain altitude, vegetation becomes sparse and the environment more dramatic.

At base camp, you’ll be introduced to basic climbing techniques such as rope handling, crampon use, and ice axe skills.

Trek to High Camp (5,400m)

Our guides will prepare you for the summit push, reviewing safety techniques and ensuring all gear is ready.

Summit Pisang Peak (6,091m) & Return to Base Camp

This is the most important and rewarding day of your journey. We begin the summit push early in the morning, navigating rocky ridges and snow slopes using fixed ropes where necessary. The final ascent requires determination but is achievable with guidance.

From the summit, enjoy panoramic views of Annapurna massif, Tilicho Peak, and surrounding Himalayan giants. After celebrating your success, we carefully descend back to Base Camp.

Trek to Manang (3,540m)

After the intense summit day, we descend back to the main Annapurna Circuit trail and head toward Manang. The trail offers stunning landscapes and a more relaxed pace, allowing your body to recover from the climb.

Manang is a beautiful Himalayan village with cafes, bakeries, and incredible mountain views.

We continue trekking higher into the alpine zone. The trail becomes more barren with fewer trees, and you may spot yaks grazing in the high pastures. The gradual ascent helps maintain proper acclimatization.

Today we trek to Thorong Phedi, the base of the famous Thorong La Pass. The trail involves steady uphill walking along rocky terrain. Upon arrival, you can rest and prepare for the early morning crossing of the pass.

Cross Thorong La Pass (5,416m) & Descend to Muktinath (3,800m)

One of the most challenging yet rewarding days. We start before sunrise to cross Thorong La Pass, the highest point of the trek. The climb is demanding but offers incredible views.

After reaching the pass, we descend to Muktinath, a sacred pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists.
